Jurgen Brauer

Professor of Economics 

Jurgen Brauer is Professor of Economics at Augusta State University’s James M. Hull College of Business. A teacher of undergraduate and graduate students, globally published columnist, and public speaker, Professor Brauer has authored several books in the fields of peace and conflict research, military affairs, economic development, and economic education. He has served as consultant to the World Bank, the United Nations, NATO, the U.S. National Defense University, and to the Chief Economist, Office of the Comptroller, City of New York. From 1998 to 2005 Professor Brauer served as vice-chair of Economists for Peace and Security. Professor Brauer co-founded The Economics of Peace and Security Journal in 2006 and co-edits it since.
