Jobs

  • Research Intern - The Hague office

The Research Intern will assist in developing a database of thwarted and realised terrorist attacks across Europe from open sources. This would entail media reports, government statements and potentially police and court records. If a country has high ratio of thwarted to realised attacks that demonstrates: how active the threat of terrorism is in a country, and the ability of the counterterrorism response to prevent attacks and temper the potential severity of attacks. The Research Intern will be familiar with undertaking independent research, has some working proficiency in using Excel and has good attention to detail.

  • Senior Research Fellow - Sydney

The Senior Research Fellow will be an experienced and senior expert with a track record of conducting quantitative research in the social sciences, development studies, statistics, economics, and peace and conflict studies. S/he will be able to lead new and ground-breaking thinking on conceptualising frameworks and measurements for creating more peaceful societies. S/he will have strong understanding of current debates in development, peace and conflict studies, and in relevant international forums.
