Education & Academic Engagement
In an effort to make peace a more central subject of study, the Institute for Economics and Peace is focusing on peace education at both the secondary and tertiary levels.
IEP works closely with academics across the world, with IEP indices and analysis used by universities in courses across a range of fields: from management, business and economics to criminal justice, conflict resolution and international affairs.
IEP’s Business Faculty Network is a consortium of business faculty and leading scholars collecting and conducting research on and documenting case studies to illustrate the linkages between business, peace and economic development. Learn more about the Business Faculty Network.
IEP is actively working to increase awareness about the meaning and value of peace in high schools. For this purpose, it has developed a series of four modules for peace education: the Building Blocks of Peace. The modules can be downloaded free of charge. Learn more about the Building Blocks of Peace.
IEP is currently engaged in establishing the first ever Chair in Peace Economics.
