Hosted by the Cabo Verde National Police, this conference will focus on "The Threat of Terrorism and Violent Extremism: Implications for Border and Airport Security", bringing together law enforcement, intelligence, judicial, and border control professionals from Cabo Verde.
The event will consist of three sessions:
- Global and Regional Impact of Terrorism: Featuring an intervention on the 2025 Global Terrorism Index (GTI).
- Positive Peace and Policing: Dedicated to research from the Institute for Economics & Peace (IEP).
- Application of Research to Cabo Verde's Reality: Discussions on applying findings to border security.
Speakers will include local representatives from law enforcement, judicial, and intelligence sectors, along with Serge Stroobants, Director for Europe & MENA at the Institute for Economics & Peace.
