How have recent major conflicts influenced peacefulness worldwide?
What is the current cost of violence—from human lives, to economic impact?
On Wednesday, June 12th at 1:30pm, please join the Alliance for Peacebuilding (AfP) and the Institute for Economics and Peace for the hybrid launch of the Global Peace Index (GPI) 2024.
The GPI is the most comprehensive data-driven analysis on peace, its economic value, trends, and how to develop peaceful societies, covering 99.7% of the world's population using 23 qualitative and quantitative indicators from highly respected sources. The conversation will explore the impact of violent conflict around the world—from Sudan, to Israel-Palestine, to Ukraine, and beyond—and how the peacebuilding field can use this evidence to better build sustainable peace.
