Hosted by UNOCT Madrid, the Expert Briefing Series will focus on Global Terrorism Trends and the Protection of Vulnerable Targets, featuring insights from the 2025 Global Terrorism Index (GTI).

This event will bring together 230 members from 85 countries, representing the global community of UNOCT, UNCTED, UNICRI, and UNAOC. The session will concentrate on the presentation of the 2025 GTI and its implications for the protection of vulnerable targets globally.

Speakers will include UN officials and Serge Stroobants, Director for Europe & MENA at the Institute for Economics & Peace.
